I conceived the idea and approached Miller Homes to acquire 4 houses as a Community Housing Scheme to support local young people to stay in the village. Thought to be the first scheme of its kind, these houses will remain in the community forever.

House prices in Corbridge are high and it’s hard for young people to stay here so this project will help with that.

This scheme is being delivered via the Parish Council and we will be able to ensure that local people get priority for these houses. They will remain outside the right to buy provisions and so will continue to be available to local people for ever.
