Thanks to the residents who have reported the issues with the lights in the south side car park going back some time. I have notified the Council street lighting team who have been out a number of times to repair.

As this has been an ongoing problem they have carried out some investigation work / maintenance “a full routine inspection, with any switchgear replaced that looks beyond its useful life. As there does not appear to be any faults on the underground cable network, we suspect water damage may be causing the issues, and checking all terminations and cleaning / replacing the switchgear may prove beneficial and hopefully cure the fuse blowing issue.”

The lights are working again and hopefully the problem is solved. Thanks to the street lighting team their work on this.
