As the Roman Fields estate was built the developers piled earth up in the common area at the end of the estate which caused water run off and privacy issues for adjoining residents in Synclen Avenue, Milkwell, Milkwell Lane and Kiln View.
On behalf of residents I raised this issue with NCC Planning Enforcement and a meeting took place on-site last summer with NCC planning officers, Miller Homes and I. Miller Homes were asked to propose solutions which they duly did via a planning application to approve the earth mound and deal with privacy issues with additional screening.
That planning application has now been withdrawn and Miller Homes’ contractors arrived on site yesterday to begin removing the earth. Many thanks to Council officers dealing with this and to Miller Homes – I’m really pleased it’s being resolved.
